HEARST MAGAZINES, 2013 – PRESENT, Technical Training Manager

Currently, as a Technical Training Manager I manage, plan, and implement the technical training function at Hearst Magazines. I build curriculums and strategic training plans for weekly training sessions as well as numerous system roll-outs and user documentation. Current system roll-outs include Adbook for Hearst Television and the cumulative effort to launch the proprietary content management system enterprise wide across Hearst Digital Media, Hearst Magazines International, and Hearst Television. During the three years at Hearst, I have liaised and built a relationship with numerous tech and user experience at Hearst divisions to design and implement training extending the team’s reach internally and increasing training requests by 50% over 2015. These requests have increased even more over 2016.

AOL, Patch.com, 2010 – 2013, Corporate Trainer

At AOL/Patch.com, in start-up mode, I successfully maintained and facilitated on-boarding for 500+ employees in 4 months to scale from 150 sites to 750. Working closely with clients and SMEs I assessed their needs to build and design a training program for a New Hire boot camp for all Editorial and Sales new hires. In addition to building all training from scratch, I also developed, launched, and facilitated the first customized management training based on a needs analysis for regional local editors. Supplemental material were also created including a Management 101 handbook based on a gap analysis. In addition to building customized Editorial training, I also project managed through three successful Learning Management System transitions including branding, user interface, course and content creation, and internal communication strategy.
